[00:00:00] Speaker A: Hey everybody, welcome back to this special two part episode with Kelly Mead. If you didn't hear the first part, make sure you go back last week to the last episode and listen. From the very beginning, we had so much good stuff with Kelly. We didn't want to waste any of it and we talked to her about all kinds of different stuff. And so we turned this into a two parter. This is part two. We're going to jump back into the conversation with Kelly here in just a minute. And then at the end, we play a game. Chris has a fun game for us and you'll see Kelly and I go toe to toe in some CCLI type stuff. So make sure you stay tuned for that. But as usual, this podcast wouldn't be possible without our amazing friends from Elam Fellowship, without Kevin Neville, the guy that does all the work behind the scenes for this. Thank you, Kevin. You are amazing. So check out what's going on with Elam Fellowship, all this cool stuff that they have happening now. Thanks everyone for joining us again on this very special episode, part two of our conversation with Kelly Mead. I go that you've never been. You've proven your goodness again and again. So, Kelly, it's so good to have you here. You've brought so much already to the podcast. [00:01:16] Speaker B: You ever made one of those shoe boxes? [00:01:18] Speaker C: I did, actually. Yep. I picked it up at Kingdom Bound and I sent it out. I think it was last, not last year, 2023. I did that. [00:01:26] Speaker A: That's cool. [00:01:26] Speaker C: Because I loved hearing the testimony that the, the woman who spoke that year and how it affected her to receive one. So I think that's really awesome that they're partnering with Kingdom Bound again. [00:01:37] Speaker A: It's amazing. It's an amazing ministry. I got a chance to go on a trip with them and see what it does and it's just absolutely incredible. So, Kelly, it seems like one of the things. Thank you, Chris. [00:01:47] Speaker B: Oh, wait, I already did that. [00:01:48] Speaker A: It seems like one of the things you really enjoy about today's Christian entertainment is spotlighting and discovering new up and coming artists and bands. What is it about that aspect of your job that you love? [00:02:01] Speaker C: Yeah, definitely. It's been a really cool thing to be able to put together. We've done like an artist to watch list each year for maybe the last four years we've done that and like [00:02:11] Speaker B: a group of 10. [00:02:13] Speaker C: Well, it started out as, I think we had maybe five or six the first year and then it's grown. This year's been our largest one. We have 20 this year. Because. Yeah. And we've just either favorite on the list for this year. [00:02:26] Speaker B: Yeah. On the group of 20. Or is that too. You can't reveal yet? Well, no, it's not out there in the world. [00:02:30] Speaker C: No, it is. We posted it. And so there's a few and I have them that I'll mention. Well, I guess I could just go ahead and mention each of them. So this year in particular, there's a band called Hopeful. I don't know if you guys have heard them or not. They're like indie rock band from California and their lyrics are so deep. And I just been really loving what they're doing so far and I just am excited to see what happens as they continue on. I know they have an album coming out this year, so that's going to be really cool. I'm excited to see them kind of get beyond California because they're finally starting to get outside of their area. So they're definitely one of my favorites. Daniel Spragues is another one. He's like if you like Panic at the Disco or Green Day. But you want the Christian songs, obviously, because some of us. Right, but the sound, the sound is like what draws you in. So with Daniel, that's what you're getting. And you're getting that Christian, solid Christian message and just being able to like his songs really kind of, they turn the conversation like a real honest conversation with God. So he's got heart to heart and show me how to live. And then if it wasn't for your love, that's on the album that just came out in February called 21st century syndrome. Okay, so Daniel Spriggs, 21st century syndrome. Check that one out. [00:03:47] Speaker A: Daniel Spriggs. [00:03:48] Speaker B: Yeah, the streamables. Wherever stream can be fun. [00:03:51] Speaker C: And then another on the list this year is John Allen. He's a really creative, artsy. He does this. I just love what he's doing because it's like this alternative rock vibe, but it's just so different than what you're hearing. And some of his stuff, like you would think it's a soundtrack to like an 80s sci fi movie almost. Nice because it has those different sounds to it. [00:04:14] Speaker A: Probably you throw a notron. You just know from the reference I made. [00:04:18] Speaker B: You're right. [00:04:19] Speaker C: But yeah, he had an album EP called Resurrection Power that came out last fall. Got some really great songs on there. Living God, on and on. Just. Yeah, he's an awesome one to check out. Let's see who else have we had this year in particular, trying to remember because we have like I said we had 20 artists this year, which is insane. [00:04:37] Speaker A: That's really cool, actually, that you stuck. Like, at first you could only get four or five. [00:04:41] Speaker C: And the artists. Some of the artists we've had in the past few years have been like, on our first list, we had Ben Fuller, Leanna Crawford, KB Nicole, and that was, I believe, 20, 22 or 3. So it was when they were first starting. [00:04:57] Speaker B: Last year. It wouldn't be good. I don't know anything about. Let's take that. [00:05:02] Speaker C: So. [00:05:02] Speaker B: So you're telling me that you're batting a thousand? [00:05:07] Speaker C: We've been able to, like, I don't know, get in on some really good ones early on, and it's just exciting to follow their careers and see where it takes them. Like Jeremy Rosado, he was another one we had a few years ago. This year he's on Winter Jam. He's in the part of the pre party and his song just went top 30 for keep holding On. So it's really awesome to see, like, especially when you followed from really early on and you know, how much work that they've put into their, you know, their music and their message and sharing their testimony and it's finally starting to, you know, get that. Real proud of them. Oh, yeah, definitely. And then, like last year we had Jamie McDonald, she was on our list. And Sean Rodriguez has become a bit of a friend of Kingdom Bound, Excited for all of the stuff that he's up to now. And Grayson Max, they were on our list last year and they were the ones who joined me at Kingdom Bound for the seminar that I did. Yeah, that was so much fun. That ended up being one of the highlights of the year. So excited for what they're doing. Oh, yeah, no problem. But yeah, like I said, it's just really cool. Oh, Alison Ide was another one that we featured last year, too, so at the festival, too. And Grace Graeber, she was another. [00:06:17] Speaker A: Yep. [00:06:18] Speaker C: And now she's doing. She's been like, blowing up on social media this, like, the past few months with her Punk Times Praise, where she's doing these covers of, like, Lemonade and Oceans and Gratitude. And yes, she has a full album coming out. It'll be out by the time this airs, so you got to find it. Punk Times Praise. It'll be out. And she's got an original spelled out. [00:06:41] Speaker B: Or is that just an X? [00:06:42] Speaker C: An X. Yes. Good question. [00:06:44] Speaker B: She's punk. I knew he. [00:06:46] Speaker A: Spell it out if you're a punk. Yep. [00:06:48] Speaker C: So, yeah, that one's really. I'm excited for that one to come out. She's been, it's been really cool to see like just what's happened with her over the past year. And let's see what else about I got here. Yeah, those are some of the ones that I'm personally really excited about. [00:07:04] Speaker A: Nice. [00:07:05] Speaker B: I feel you're excited. [00:07:07] Speaker C: I know. See, this is what happens when I start getting, when I start getting onto like the topics that I'm just like, like I said, excited about it. [00:07:15] Speaker A: Just Ronda Noli, not so much up and coming artists. [00:07:18] Speaker C: See well, or favorite artists. [00:07:20] Speaker A: Anyway, Ron Canoli would have made your list. [00:07:22] Speaker C: This is like, you know, seven year old me in Walmart saying, here, you need to listen to this. I love it. I did that. I always did that. So it just carries over and it comes out naturally now. [00:07:33] Speaker B: So now you get paid to do it. Look at that. Earlier, it was an interesting little thing you threw in there that I said something to the extent of dreams do come true. Then you said, yeah, you know, it took me a little bit to think that way though. I'm interested. It has nothing to do with, you know, kingdom Bound. But that was. What was that about? [00:07:59] Speaker C: Well, because like I always, when I was, you know, little growing up, I, like I said, lived and breathed music. I always was watching, you know, well, people, other kids were watching cartoons and stuff. I was watching like the Nashville Network or CMT at the time, country music. So I was watching all the coverage of like the CMT Awards or whatever and just being like, oh man, that'd be really cool to do something like that someday. And I always kind of thought I might end up in country music. But then God opened the doors for today's Christian entertainment, which led to being able to kind of realize some of those things in Christian music, which of course is a much better space for me to be in. And it took a, like I said, it took a little while to kind of realize that, oh, hey, these are actually some of the things that I always wanted to do and never in a million years thought I'd be able to do. And like last year in Nashville, even with the country connection, a special thing that in addition to the Doves, which was amazing, got to do like the red carpet and all that interviews on the carpet. But while I was in town, we also got to go to the Grand Ole Opry. [00:09:02] Speaker A: Nice. [00:09:03] Speaker C: And not only that, but we got to go backstage and do the. [00:09:07] Speaker A: That's cool. [00:09:07] Speaker C: We got to just hang out backstage for a while. And that was, like I said, growing up watching it all the time with my grandparents on tv, like, and if I wasn't working with today's Christian entertainment, who knows if that would have ever happened? So I just, like, that was just all kind of came full circle. [00:09:24] Speaker A: You know that scripture that says, you know, seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added. Or even the one that says, you know, like, God will give you the desires of your heart. Like, it's so true if you just put him first and live for him and sell your life out for him. [00:09:41] Speaker C: Yeah, that's definitely something I've been realizing more and more is how, like, so personal he is with how he responds. May not be always the way you think. [00:09:51] Speaker A: Right. [00:09:51] Speaker C: But it's gonna be something that you can tell afterwards that it's like, oh, wow, this really is a kindness and a. Like, a very personal way to fill your cup and all of that. And just. Yeah. Even though there may be still things that you want to happen eventually and they haven't yet, but you can be grateful for all the ways that he is showing up. [00:10:15] Speaker B: Beautiful. [00:10:16] Speaker A: One of the things that I'm kind of seeing kind of coming down the pipe is we've been so lucky and blessed to have these big bands that are now considered headliners. The Mercy Me's, the Casting Crowns, the Skillets, you know, Toby Mack, all these different big bands that, you know, you. You count on to close the night out. And, you know, they're going to bring this amazing experience. And it really seems like in the next season that, like, all those people that we would call headliners and these big bands, it seems like the, like, it's like we're coming to the close of a lot of those. Those careers and seeing a big shift coming. And so it's almost creating, like, a problem where we don't have as many headliners anymore that we can count on for the festival and things. What do you think about just where we're at in, like, there seems to be a shift coming of who's going to be a headliner, who's going to be the next big band that closes out your festival or closes out the night. Like, what do you think? What do you think? What are you seeing? [00:11:22] Speaker C: Yeah, I think, like, we all have our consistent favorites and the people that, you know, we're always going to love. And, I mean, you can look at bands like, you know, we are messengers. I'll use them as an example because I absolutely love them and I think that they have been so consistent over the years, but there's still People who don't know who they are. Because I'll be like, oh, have you heard such and such song? And they're like, no, never. And so I think it's kind of neat where there's still that with them and then an artist like for King and Country, where you think pretty much everybody knows who they are because they've crossed over into other genres. And you can hear them when you walk into the grocery store. And I think that's amazing. And then as far as like being. Cause like you're saying how some of the ones we've considered headliners, maybe they're gonna start kind of shuffling in that lineup a little bit as the newer ones come up. And I think it's great to be able to still give the newer ones the opportunity. Like, I love how Kingdom Bound does that and other venues that I've been, you know, in touch with and stuff who are willing to take that chance on somebody who may not be as well known, but you're introducing them to a whole new audience. Yeah. And I think that's really cool. And there's definitely a lot who are like up and coming or maybe they're like, you know, I don't know if you want to say like a mid range whatever, but that definitely had that potential. [00:12:40] Speaker A: So who are they? Like we talked about, we are messengers. They're definitely on the track for that. Ben Fuller is even. We're talking about having him as a headliner. But who else who are some second or third to closers that you think will be headliners in the next two or three years? [00:12:53] Speaker C: I think Colton Dixon has what it takes to do it. His. His live shows are pretty cool. If you get to go to one of his headlining tour shows. Ye. I say he would definitely be one. I think Liana Crawford could be there with the track that she's on. Seth Schleider. I really. I loved how I thought when he started speaking in between his songs, I was like, whoa. [00:13:14] Speaker B: Really? [00:13:15] Speaker A: Yeah, I heard him do that. [00:13:16] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:13:16] Speaker C: Well, like when he was like sharing his heart in between the songs at [00:13:19] Speaker A: Kingdom, I didn't get to hear him at Kingdom. Nice. [00:13:22] Speaker C: I think was it last year? [00:13:23] Speaker A: The year before. [00:13:23] Speaker C: Okay. Yeah. That was just like. I was like, man, he's going to be. I think he's got what it takes to kind of get up there. [00:13:29] Speaker A: He's one of my favorites. I would love to see him become. [00:13:31] Speaker C: Yeah, I think even Ren Collective could do it. [00:13:34] Speaker A: My wife loves Collective. If they were just two or more. [00:13:37] Speaker C: Yeah. Well, they've gotten out there the past couple of years for sure. I think they're. I think they're another one who, even though they've been around a long time, they're kind of into a new chapter now because they have a new lineup. [00:13:47] Speaker A: They have a whole new group. Right. [00:13:48] Speaker C: They got a new lineup. They're kind of tweaking their sound where they're leaning into more of an Irish folk rock type sound. They even released a sea shanty. [00:13:56] Speaker A: Yes. [00:13:56] Speaker C: Which is amazing. [00:13:57] Speaker A: I love when you say that. That. [00:13:59] Speaker C: Yeah. Sea shanty. [00:14:01] Speaker B: Seashore. [00:14:04] Speaker C: Yeah. Oh, my gosh. I'm like, I would not be mad if they did more of this style, because I think that's really cool. [00:14:09] Speaker B: That's more in line with, like, their original stuff, would you say? Or not really. [00:14:13] Speaker C: Maybe going way back to when it was like, Ren Collective Experiment, I think, because they were doing, like, the Campfire Records and they were a little bit more the traditional Irish. So I think they are kind of getting back to their roots a bit. But the messages and the songs are getting deeper. [00:14:29] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:14:29] Speaker B: Mumford and Sons kind of did the same thing. Right. That got the same, like, callback. [00:14:36] Speaker C: So, yeah, those are definitely a few. And then I think some of the ones even, like, some that I mentioned that are brand new, I think they have the potential to eventually get there. [00:14:44] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:14:46] Speaker B: James Mount's gonna take him there. [00:14:47] Speaker A: We will be part of it. That's kind of one of the things that we love to do. There's been a few different bands where we've caught them early. We've been lucky enough to catch them early. And, I mean, for King and Country, we were the first. From what I've been told, we were the first place to give them a stage. And they would tour with their sister. And they were just kids, and then we knew that they were performing. And so. Hey, why don't you hop on the stage over here? So in a past episode, Chris and I, we. You wrestled about some. That was off camera, Chris. You weren't supposed to say that. We talked about some bands that we would love to see one more time. Some bands that either aren't touring or aren't together or even aren't alive. It could be. And so we had our list. But if there was one band that you could catch one more live performance, who would it be? [00:15:38] Speaker C: So I've been. I feel like I'm pretty blessed to where a lot of my favorite ones are still together and they are still touring. However, I never got to see Building 429. Okay, so I didn't get to see them pulled that. [00:15:49] Speaker B: Pulled. [00:15:49] Speaker A: Yep, pulled that out. [00:15:50] Speaker C: And they're big hit again. Where I Belong. Oh, All I know is I'm not home yet. This is not Where I belong. That one. So, yeah, they're one. And then I think it's awesome that third day is reunited for their. Yeah, they're doing 30th. [00:16:05] Speaker A: The fall. [00:16:06] Speaker C: They're doing their 30th anniversary tour this spring. So I think it'll be really cool to see if they kind of see how that goes. Maybe they'll add some more because they don't have any around here, but it would be amazing to see them again, so it's cool that they're getting back out there. And it's the original lineup, too, so that's pretty awesome. There was a group that I saw a couple times. They were a lot of fun, and you guys may not ever recognize them, but. 33 miles. [00:16:30] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:16:31] Speaker A: You know that, right? [00:16:32] Speaker B: Yeah, that was like, kind of like, if I remember, like, disciple type music. [00:16:38] Speaker C: No, they weren't super rock. No, they were more. I don't know, but they were almost [00:16:43] Speaker B: the album cover in my mind. [00:16:44] Speaker C: They were almost more of a. Countryside [00:16:46] Speaker B: is like middle school. [00:16:47] Speaker C: Okay. They weren't that. I don't think they would be that old. [00:16:50] Speaker B: I must be thinking of somebody else. [00:16:52] Speaker C: Yeah. But, yeah, 33 miles, they were a fun one to see. And then I can throw a couple outside of Christian music if you want. [00:16:59] Speaker B: We don't do that here. [00:17:01] Speaker C: Well, it's still the kind of tie end. So. There's one band that I really regret never going to see when I could have had the chance. That's three doors down. [00:17:08] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:17:08] Speaker C: So given the fact that, you know, Brad Arnold recently passed and. [00:17:11] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:17:12] Speaker C: Just to see the change that he experienced later in his life, too. And I know a lot of their concerts the past few years before they had to stop touring, he was out there sharing the gospel and what God has done in his life. [00:17:23] Speaker A: Yeah, I've heard that. [00:17:24] Speaker C: So, I mean, I've seen the videos of it, but it's like, man, I wish I could have gone to see them, you know, because you never know. And that's why, like, one of my philosophies is you only regret the concerts you don't go to. [00:17:34] Speaker A: There you go. [00:17:34] Speaker C: So that's why I try to go to as many as possible, so. And then one that might really throw you is if I could go back to, like, the 1960s and see the Beach Boys in, like, one of their high Eras. That would be cool. [00:17:48] Speaker A: Beach Boys. You want to know my first exposure to the Beach Boys? No. Full House. [00:17:53] Speaker C: Yep. [00:17:54] Speaker A: They played on Full House. [00:17:56] Speaker B: What's Full House? [00:17:58] Speaker A: Oh, I hate you. Tgif, man. Thank God it's Friday. [00:18:04] Speaker C: I remember those days. [00:18:05] Speaker B: It is Friday. [00:18:06] Speaker A: It is Friday today. You're not supposed to tell them when it is. [00:18:09] Speaker B: Oh, it's May 3rd. What's May 3rd? [00:18:13] Speaker A: It's the day that Pop. Dylan. [00:18:16] Speaker C: No. [00:18:18] Speaker A: You got it. [00:18:18] Speaker C: Not what. [00:18:20] Speaker B: Nice. [00:18:22] Speaker A: Kelly, final question. Probably the most important question really matters. [00:18:27] Speaker B: We really feel as well that you [00:18:28] Speaker A: put a lot of thought into when you answer this. [00:18:30] Speaker B: Yeah. Forget about what's art? [00:18:32] Speaker A: Or we've asked everyone that we've interviewed so far, is a hot dog a sandwich? [00:18:38] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh. [00:18:39] Speaker A: And you have to give your reason why it is or is. [00:18:42] Speaker C: Okay, it's a sandwich because it has bread. [00:18:45] Speaker B: That's it. Anything. So if I put two pieces of bread sandwich right here. This is a microphone sandwich. [00:18:51] Speaker C: Yes. [00:18:51] Speaker B: Always. [00:18:52] Speaker C: Yes. [00:18:52] Speaker B: No exceptions. [00:18:53] Speaker A: Even edible. So we've gotten one argument where it was connected. Even if the bread is connected, it's still a sandwich. [00:18:59] Speaker C: Language. [00:18:59] Speaker B: Yes. [00:19:00] Speaker A: Okay. You're our first. Yes. By the way. [00:19:03] Speaker B: What about. So you're fr. What about the Tim Hortons chili bowl? In breath. Okay, so I'll be. That's connected. It's called a bowl. [00:19:16] Speaker C: A bread bowl. [00:19:18] Speaker B: I'm pushing your definition. If it's connected. [00:19:21] Speaker C: I didn't say if it was connected. [00:19:22] Speaker A: She said it was. If it's bread. [00:19:24] Speaker C: If it's bread in between bread and you eat it with your hands, it's a sandwich. [00:19:28] Speaker A: What do you like? [00:19:29] Speaker B: So then when all the chili's gone, [00:19:32] Speaker A: and then you have a sandwich, and [00:19:33] Speaker B: then you have a sand. [00:19:35] Speaker C: There you go. [00:19:35] Speaker B: Because that little top part comes off, you know, and, like, that's a sandwich. [00:19:41] Speaker A: Do you get the bread bowl? If you get the chip? [00:19:43] Speaker B: I haven't had that in a very long time. It's good. [00:19:47] Speaker A: You rip the sides off as you're eating it. [00:19:49] Speaker B: Like rye bread. [00:19:51] Speaker A: I don't know what kind of bread. [00:19:52] Speaker B: Soda bread. [00:19:53] Speaker A: So a hot dog is a sandwich? [00:19:55] Speaker C: In my opinion, yes. [00:19:56] Speaker B: Every time. No exceptions. [00:19:57] Speaker C: Yep. [00:19:59] Speaker A: All right. [00:20:01] Speaker B: Hey, this has been fun. [00:20:03] Speaker A: Normally, we would say, kelly, it's been great having you, but you're going to stay with us for the rest of the episode. [00:20:08] Speaker B: Hey, Kelly, it's been great having you. [00:20:11] Speaker C: It's good to be here. [00:20:13] Speaker B: That's great. [00:20:13] Speaker D: This is an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. It's about four and a half inches tall. Now, imagine stacking every shoebox gift packed this year, one on top of another. It would take 3,000 shoebox gifts to reach the height of the Eiffel Tower. To reach the top of Mount Everest, it would take 77,000 shoebox gifts. Now imagine the distance to the International space Station and still you packed more shoebox gifts this year. You all packed 12,205,900 shoes shoebox gifts. And that's not just a number. That is the gospel going across the globe to 12.2 million children. 12.2 million children that will hear the name of Jesus. [00:21:07] Speaker A: So I have no idea what this is. Okay. I asked Chris, give me at least a little bit of an idea and you wouldn't get ruined because he didn't want me to cheat. He thinks I'm a cheater. [00:21:17] Speaker B: I do. [00:21:19] Speaker C: All right, question is, is it something I can play too? [00:21:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, that's. [00:21:22] Speaker A: That's why we're doing it. That's. Don't worry. You're gonna smoke because I'm telling you that I'm not gonna know any of these. Okay. [00:21:30] Speaker C: I can get pretty competitive. Maybe I should back up. [00:21:32] Speaker B: I would like you please hit him. There's deserve it. [00:21:36] Speaker A: No competition. [00:21:37] Speaker B: Michael. All right, so we got a fun little thing planned here. You know why? Because Mike was like, we gotta do something fun. So I figured I'm gonna pit you two against each other. [00:21:45] Speaker A: Yeah. Normally. Normally when we. The person we interview would. Would leave, but she's with us the whole episode, so she gets to do this with us. [00:21:53] Speaker B: Thanks for sticking. [00:21:55] Speaker A: Putting up with us. [00:21:55] Speaker B: Really, it's really just who else you're next to them. So you said you started in 2018 doing this thing, so, you know, there's CCLI right. And they keep track of these things. And we went on vacation recently and we went to a church. And, you know, you can expect to hear similar songs across this nation if you go to church any given Sunday. Right? [00:22:20] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:22:21] Speaker B: So I'm going to test your knowledge. [00:22:23] Speaker C: And I think she's going to beat you. Oh, dear Juliana, don't set me up for failure. [00:22:29] Speaker B: So here's what we're going to do. We're going to have five different songs. [00:22:32] Speaker A: Okay. [00:22:33] Speaker B: Eventually, the lyric. The name of the song will be in the lyric. [00:22:38] Speaker C: Really unusual. [00:22:39] Speaker B: You're going to get three chances to guess the song. I'm going to first. I'll throw that up there. Kevin, if you could. Here it comes. Bum bum bum [00:22:49] Speaker C: da da da da. [00:22:51] Speaker B: So I'm going to give you the year that I grabbed this from that. It was Number five on the CCLI chart during super bowl weekend of this year. It's going to be. You'll see. So look, the CCLI date. 2026. [00:23:07] Speaker A: Okay? [00:23:08] Speaker B: The release date of this song, 2018. Do you see how this works so far? Now, the reason why it was Super Bowl Sunday, in my mind, I just wanted to. I was collecting data from my own self. Like maybe a bunch of churches on Sunday morning are doing, you are my champion. Because, you know, it's Super Bowl Sunday. But it wasn't there. I guess we all missed an opportunity because, you know, if I would have gone to Father's Day, you know, would have been number one. [00:23:32] Speaker C: Good. Good Father [00:23:35] Speaker B: C. So. But I. There was no repeats, so I had to go to five. [00:23:39] Speaker A: Okay. [00:23:40] Speaker B: Fifth most popular song. The 20th of February, 2026 of this year. Yeah, that's 2026. Is this year. Last night. [00:23:47] Speaker A: Is it a worship song? [00:23:48] Speaker B: Well, it's. Yeah, it's for some. [00:23:50] Speaker A: And are you gonna play it or. No, we have to give you the lyrics. [00:23:52] Speaker B: Ready? Watch. [00:23:53] Speaker A: Oh, you're gonna hand it up. Okay. [00:23:54] Speaker B: And I will. [00:23:56] Speaker A: I will. [00:23:57] Speaker B: Now, maybe you'll be able to get to the rest of the song from there, but probably you won't. So. Kevin, give him the next one, Kevin. Oh, and I will not be shaken now. Probably going to be, like, thinking this. Oh, this is probably like a. That one song by Jonathan Helzer, but it's not. [00:24:11] Speaker A: I'm hearing it in my head. You got to give me one. [00:24:14] Speaker B: Okay, give him. Give him it. Give him it. Oh, come on. It's right there. [00:24:19] Speaker C: Build my life. Build my life, Pat Barrett. [00:24:22] Speaker B: Thank you. Reveal. Build my life, Pat Barrett. So she technically won that one, but we'll give it a slide. 00. [00:24:28] Speaker A: I think we should play as a team, Kelly. It's not going to. You're going to smoke if we die. [00:24:32] Speaker B: This is. Okay, So I will not be shaking. [00:24:35] Speaker A: Yeah. So that was the number five. [00:24:37] Speaker B: That was. That was. They're all number five. [00:24:39] Speaker A: Oh, they're all. [00:24:40] Speaker B: Because otherwise there was too many repeats. [00:24:41] Speaker A: Okay, okay. [00:24:42] Speaker B: Because you know how we are. [00:24:43] Speaker A: Okay. All right, Try again. Try again. [00:24:46] Speaker B: Number two. Here it comes. Okay, so, February, Super Bowl Sunday, 2024. The release date of this song was 2023. And the first lyric is. [00:24:55] Speaker A: I've got a. I've got a reason to. Oh, my soul. [00:25:10] Speaker B: I'm gonna stand up. Thank you. [00:25:12] Speaker A: That might be the only one. [00:25:14] Speaker B: That is one. [00:25:14] Speaker A: That's one to one. [00:25:15] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:25:16] Speaker A: Never mind. We're not on a team anymore. [00:25:17] Speaker B: Well, if it's A tie game. We're gonna give you that first one. Okay? So here we go. Number three. Here we go. 2022. This is 2022 Sunday. [00:25:26] Speaker A: Okay. February 2022. [00:25:28] Speaker B: Release date, 2020. [00:25:29] Speaker A: Okay. [00:25:30] Speaker B: First, you're the only. [00:25:31] Speaker A: Or the only. [00:25:32] Speaker B: You're the only one I love. Yeah. No, no, that's. That's how. [00:25:37] Speaker C: That's not it. [00:25:37] Speaker A: That's not worship. Go. I. I. You got it. You got it. [00:25:40] Speaker B: You're the only chance. All right, Set your lyric. Here we go. [00:25:43] Speaker A: On who can. [00:25:44] Speaker B: Yeah, come on, guys. It's a really long can. [00:25:51] Speaker A: Oh, give me another one. [00:25:53] Speaker B: Give them the next. [00:25:54] Speaker C: Oh, the garden. [00:25:58] Speaker B: Come on, guys. [00:26:01] Speaker A: Yes. [00:26:02] Speaker B: Hit the on can. Come one of the. [00:26:03] Speaker A: Yes. [00:26:04] Speaker B: Raising the gardens. [00:26:04] Speaker A: Nice. [00:26:05] Speaker B: Great one. Six, eight also, by the way. All right, number four. [00:26:08] Speaker A: You. You're into time. You're into the time. [00:26:10] Speaker B: I'm just telling you. That is. There's a secret chord. There's a Secret time signature. 2020 Super bowl weekend. All right, 2019 release. Here we go. Here comes a lyric. [00:26:21] Speaker C: Oh, shoot. [00:26:22] Speaker B: Weather's defeated. Yes. In every Easter song you've ever heard. [00:26:25] Speaker A: And I ran out of that grave. [00:26:27] Speaker B: I don't know. Let's find out. Let's find out. Let's give him a few more. [00:26:31] Speaker C: Oh, man. Come on. I know this one. [00:26:34] Speaker A: Is this a Phil Wickham song? The king is a lie. [00:26:38] Speaker B: Next one. [00:26:40] Speaker C: Oh, Razel. Hallelujah. [00:26:42] Speaker B: Okay, okay. [00:26:43] Speaker C: She keeps saying it quicker than you. Come on, guys. But I read it. That king is a liar. [00:26:50] Speaker A: Yeah. Nice. [00:26:51] Speaker B: I don't know who to give that one to. Mom, what do you think? [00:26:53] Speaker C: Each. [00:26:55] Speaker B: All right, all right. [00:26:58] Speaker A: We should have a bell that we stay there. [00:27:00] Speaker B: Now let me. [00:27:00] Speaker C: Let's. [00:27:03] Speaker A: Let's just make this. Whoever gets this. [00:27:06] Speaker B: Here we go. [00:27:06] Speaker A: This one's worth 500 points. [00:27:08] Speaker B: Here we go. 2018 Super Bowl. [00:27:12] Speaker A: Okay. [00:27:12] Speaker B: It's a weekend. [00:27:13] Speaker C: It was released in 2017. [00:27:15] Speaker A: This is super bowl weekend. [00:27:16] Speaker B: You released. [00:27:17] Speaker A: Oh. Oh. [00:27:18] Speaker B: Oh. He. [00:27:18] Speaker A: Oh. [00:27:19] Speaker B: Tricked you on this one. That's why this one's left. [00:27:20] Speaker A: Oh. [00:27:21] Speaker B: Oh. He. [00:27:23] Speaker A: Oh. Oh. [00:27:25] Speaker B: You're gonna kick yourself once he. [00:27:26] Speaker A: Once you understand how he loves. [00:27:28] Speaker B: Close, close, close. All right, I think. I think we'll give him the next one. Kevin. [00:27:37] Speaker A: I have no idea. [00:27:39] Speaker B: I'll give you the beat. [00:27:41] Speaker A: Is it 6A. [00:27:44] Speaker B: Next. [00:27:44] Speaker A: Next line. [00:27:45] Speaker B: Next line. [00:27:47] Speaker A: Kick up my heart. [00:27:49] Speaker B: You guys all know this. [00:27:50] Speaker C: My heart. Come on. [00:27:52] Speaker B: I told you eventually. The lyric. Name. [00:27:56] Speaker A: Sing that song. Chris. [00:27:57] Speaker B: It's that you are Good. [00:28:00] Speaker A: Good. Yeah. [00:28:04] Speaker B: Oh, that's a little key is my song. Yeah, There you go. See they had to throw in my fanboyness at the end game. That was fun. I gotta admit, I think for as popular as all those songs were, all that first one you nailed. [00:28:23] Speaker A: Yes. [00:28:24] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:28:24] Speaker A: The second one I nailed. The second one I nailed. [00:28:27] Speaker B: Yeah. Huge. [00:28:28] Speaker A: Yeah. I'm not good with songmates. [00:28:33] Speaker B: For all you listening, I just shook her hand because she's the victor. Way to go. So that was our fun thing. [00:28:39] Speaker C: I think if you do name that tune again, it should be name the song in, like, one second and just [00:28:43] Speaker A: play, like, the beginning of a song like the Node. Right. [00:28:46] Speaker C: That I might be able to. [00:28:48] Speaker A: So as we close. As we close. Kelly, thank you so much for hanging out with us. [00:28:52] Speaker C: Thanks for having me. [00:28:52] Speaker A: I think this episode was like a million times better because you were here, so thank you. Million one times better. [00:28:58] Speaker B: Gonna outdo Mike. [00:29:00] Speaker A: So we still want to hear from you guys that listen to this podcast. We want to hear, like, we talked about, you know, a band that you would bring back. I would love to hear people's thoughts on a band. You had some really good building. Yeah, yeah. And then she got secular on us and we had. We had to edit that part out. But here's the deal. For a future episode, for a future episode, we really want you to email [email protected] a worship song that maybe you haven't heard in a long time that you would want to bring back in rotation. I just heard one the other day that I'm going to suggest when we do this, but in a couple episodes from now, you're going to keep it [00:29:42] Speaker B: a secret to all. [00:29:43] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, it's. Yes, we want to build. We want to throw drama. But yeah, what's a worship song that you haven't heard in a long time that you would love for your worship leader just to bang out this weekend? Email us kbinsiderpod gmail.com I don't want to hear your answers, Chris. Wait for the episode. Kelly, if you want to give one, feel free because you're not going to be here. But yeah, we want. So email us. We'd love to hear from you. And in our next episode, we are going to hear from some of Kingdom Bound's favorite artists that come year after year and are part of making the festival great. So it's going to be really cool. [00:30:22] Speaker B: Make it great. [00:30:23] Speaker A: This was really fun. Thanks. I had to go much. [00:30:25] Speaker B: Oh, you're good. Thank you.
